Splash Island 2012

Everytime I travel back to Batangas, I always pass by a resort with big slides at the express way. Ever since then, I dream of going there. Then finally, this day arrives. Splash Island is the chosen resort for our summer outing this 2012 since we’re tight on budget. We’ve recently went to Subic right? If you read my recent posts, you’ll know that. hihi. :> Anyway, it’s a unanimous choice also since all of us haven’t been there and we have my friend’s IBM discount. Yeah baby! So we packed our stuffs and drove to Laguna!

I thought Splash Island is just like any other resorts, the swim-on-the-pool-and-slide-all-you-want thingy. But it’s a water amusement park for me. If remember correctly, it has nine attractions - Agos Grandes, Rio Montanosa, Magellan’s Drop, King Pilipit, Balsa River, Water Wahoo, Big Bam Boo, Tausug Trails, and Curl of the Orient. It’s attractions does not open at the same time in order to conserve water I think. For example the Magellan’s Drop is open from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm, you need to enjoy the slide from that time. Unfortunately, if there’s a lot of people in the resort, I guess you can only slide once because everyone will come queue on the line in order to slide. You get what I’m saying? :D

All in all, it’s been a fun trip! Though my slippers got stolen *ugh* and though I’m not able to try all the slides because of the cut off time *boo* ~ I’ll definitely go back there! :>

I know it’s not as white as the sand in Boracay nor as blue as the water in Palawan, but still, if you want an affordable out of town beach outing, then come visit us here in Batangas! :D

Summer 2012

Bloody Brilliant: EK and Batangas Escapade

with the gang, of course! Planning this outing was too tedious for us especially for Tang who had to recompute and recompute until the budget would fit what we really wanted (which is going to Enchanted Kingdom and beach swimming the next day).

We’re a total of 11 persons. Me, Jhe, Tang, Rodney, Alex, Su, Hannah, Nikki, Joyc, Joyc’s mom, and Mang Pidyong, the driver. We rented Mang Pidyong’s van and so is he.

May 8, 2012

11AM - Our meet up place is in Mcdo, Tandang Sora. Most of us met up first at Cubao around this time, and traveled together to Tandang Sora.

12PM - Arrived 5 minutes late but Joyc and Hannah were late. Haha.

1PM - BOUND TO ENCHANTED KINGDOM! *insert magical song here* HAHA whut

2:30PM - We arrived and parked outside. We ate lunch at/in the van then we bought tickets (student discount) with free hotdogs and coke in cans.

3PM - We entered EK. END OF STORY. Lol no. We decided to ride what we see first, so Flying Fiesta, Rialto and Rio Grande first. After that we decided to try Space Shuttle. That was my first time so somehow I was scared and excited at the same time.

It was marvelous! HAHA. I loved the first ride but the moment we stepped out of Space Shuttle, Tang decided to have a second go. I thought of resting first but my friends were already there so what can I do?! Anyway, after the second go, Tang was dumbfounded. He was really dizzy, I was too, but it was gone not too long.

Anyway, I lost track of time so we decided to take a stroll. Nikki, Alex, Rodney and I tried the Swan Lake. It was tiring hahaha. Then some of the games, where we lost most of our money. Everyone except me and Tang tried the Wild River (sort of) and the Anchor’s Away. Tang and I were such losers, I know. But I didn’t really those rides haha. We enjoyed ourselves with bump cars, rather.

We tried Rio Grande around 4 or 5 times that’s why we’re soaking wet. We rode Wheel of Fate and bump cars for the last time and decided to take pictures with them cosplayers (I dunno what to call them haha)

10PM - TAGAYTAY BOUND.

Joyc’s relatives were kind enough to take us all in their house for a night. We all slept at their living room, it was spacious enough to take 9 of us haha. And thus, the casino began. We have 3 playing cards and there were 9 of us so we divided into 3 and played games until 3AM.

We played truth or dare too. Too many moments of cheesiness and uhh I dunno, whatever but yeah, it was fun.

Apparently, I couldn’t sleep at all. I tried my very best but for some reason, sleep won’t come.

7AM - BATANGAS BOUND.

10AM - SWIMMING TIME HIHI. We didn’t really swim right there and then because the sun was out there, scorching and beaming on us. We just stayed on their so called balsa most of the time.

Our lunch was prepared by Joyc’s mom and Mang Pidyong. So many foooooods! We also had green mangoes and pineapples. :D

Tang, Nikki, Alex and Rodney decided to play beach volleyball. At 5PM, we showered and at 6PM, we’re HOMEBOUND.
